(mental note to self: boycott KFC for 6 months)...This year started out with minor mishaps on my end, like... losing 1.5k pesos... comatose state of my cellphone (it really won't pick up a Globe signal anymore)... and a disapproved VL for 01/19 (which makes my VL on 01/20 totally useless since I would be too stressed out during the morning trying to find a way to go home with all the Sinulog blah going on..)
But I'm hoping the rest of the year won't be like this... since according to the Chinese Horoscope that Tigers are very lucky in love this year....(bantay bitaw ha!! Someone has to be liable for this if it doesn't come true by 12/31/2008)... but technically, it's not yet Year of the Rat yet in the Lunar Calendar since they'll celebrate new year around 1st week of February pa... Hope my luck kicks in by then...
Anyway, I don't do resolutions since I always end up breaking them... and vocabulary wise, it's like your forcing yourself to do those stuff that 99.9% of the time, you don't end up doing... I prefer to say things to achieve instead, it doesn't sound compulsory but I know that sure as hell, we're gonna try to get all of them and if we do, we fell good... Am I even making sense to you? Oh well...
Here's the list of DAY'S TOP FIVE THINGS TO ACHIEVE IN 2008...
1.) GET A CREDIT CARD
*** Lots of people are discouraging me to get one, I know... But it's like one of my dreams since I saw one of these being swiped or "ironed" (back in the days when credit cards had to go through that manual flatboard and flattened with paper)... I know I can handle it... I can be a shopaholic, but it doesn't kick in always and I use cash... I just need to swipe to get my hands on the latest gadgets on an installment basis, cause if I paid it in cash, it will take me 48 years to buy it or maybe never... And in case I do overspend, I can always burn the card... I mean, really burn it...
2.) GROW MY HAIR LONG...
*** I've had short hair for three years now...and one year of that was spent on imitating Victoria Beckham's short haircuts... So, now, I'll try my ultimate best not to step foot at Bench Fix and ask for my locks to be chopped cause they're getting too long and it doesn't have body anymore... But my hair grows out too darn slow and I can't wait... Patience is definitely not my virtue... Where are hair extensions when you need them...
*sigh*3.) LIFESTYLE CHANGE...
*** That would mean, limiting my Starbucks consumption every week from everyday to once a week...twice a week, the most... And that would also mean, waking up an extra 30 mins earlier to get to work earlier by riding a jeepney than taking a taxi to work...
And to add!! I need to open up another bank account where I can put all my savings there and out of my reach... I must put away at least 25% of each payday's amount and dump it on the other bank acct.... GOOD LUCK NALANG JED ANI NGA TASK, AS IN!! 4.) TAKE A VACATION...
*** And I mean, a REAL vacation... not just one day of lounging around the house... I haven't travelled in 2 years na! To think, in HRM, we used to travel at least once a year and now, I have zilch get-aways... Time to reward myself and escape everyone and everything in Cebu and Convergys, to be exact... As much as I love that place, it can be a pain too... ♪♫♪Too much of something is bad enough♪♫♪♫
And I have one final thing to achieve but I'd rather not put it in print since I might jinx it... I have the tendency to jinx things when I say them out loud, and in this case, BLOG it out loud... It's in the works already and it's getting better... And let's hope it'll be out of my system cause I don't want to waste time since TIGERS are lucky in love nga this year... Let's see how true that can be... So, guys... Keep on the lookout, life keeps on changing and evolving every single day... What I may put here might not be what I'll achieve in the end but hope it will be far more better....
